Route(s) of Entry: Eye? yes Inhalation? yes Skin? yes Ingestion? yes
Health Hazards (Acute and Chronic): when used as directed, as a cat litter, there is no significant health hazard.
Acute: excessive airborne dust concentrations (see section II) may result in irritation of the respiratory tract. Eye or skin contact may cause irritation. The dust is capable of producing an immediate type I and a delayed type III hypersensitivity reaction in workers.
Chronic: long term repeated excessive exposure to airborne dust concentrations (se section II) may result in fibrotic and neoplastic lung disease.
Carcinogenicity NTP? No IARC Monographs? Yes, Group 2A (probable)
OSHA Regulated? No
Signs and Symptoms of Exposure: airborne dust may cause irritation and asthmatic reactions if inhaled i.e. coughing, wheezing, tightness in chest, shortness or breath and nasal discharge.
Eye contact will cause mechanical irritation i.e. pain, redness and swelling.
Skin contact may cause dermatitis i.e. pain, redness, itching and swelling in hypersensitive people.
Ingestion ¨C symptoms are not expected following ingestion, however, ingestion should be avoided.
Medical Conditions are Generally Aggravated by Exposure: inhaled dust may aggravate asthma and inflammatory lung disease.

Emergency and First Aid Procedures:
Inhalation-move exposed subject to fresh air. If breathing difficulties occur, consult a physician at once.
Eye contact-wash eyes with running water continuously for 15 minutes, then consult a physician if symptoms persist.
Skin contact-irritation is not usual following skin contact, if it occurs was exposed area with soap and water.
